INFORMATION LITERACY is the ability to locate and evaluate information through a variety of formats, evaluate it critically, and then share it with others.

In RECONCEPTUALIZING LITERACY, Edwards (2010) states that our previous Industrial Age transformed to an Information Age is why there is a new kind of literacy, coupled with a new way of learning, which is critical for today’s classroom teacher.
